What we build

The right fence for the yard, the dog and the village code.

Most people call knowing what they want the fence to do: keep a dog in, block a view, pass a pool inspection. We match the material to that job and to what your village allows, then price it in writing.

Wood privacy fences

Cedar board-on-board, shadowbox and solid privacy, with lattice or a cap rail on top if you want it. We set the posts deep, keep the top line straight as the yard rises and falls, and tell you when the new wood is ready to stain.

Cedar · Board-on-board · Shadowbox

Vinyl fences

Privacy, semi-privacy and picket in white, tan and gray. No painting or staining, ever; a hose takes care of most dirt. Panels slide into routed posts, so a damaged one can be swapped later.

Privacy · Picket · No staining

Aluminum & ornamental

Black aluminum looks like wrought iron and won’t rust. Panels rack to follow a slope, and the same styles work for front yards, side yards and pool enclosures.

Black aluminum · Racks to slope

Chain link

The most fence for the money, and the best at keeping a dog in. Galvanized or black vinyl-coated, with privacy slats if you want to block the view later.

Galvanized · Black coated · Slats

Pool code fencing

Pool barriers get inspected, so we build to your village’s code: height, gaps, gates that close and latch on their own and swing away from the pool. We check the rules before we quote, not after.

Self-closing · Self-latching · Inspected

Gates

Walk gates, wide gates for the mower and double drive gates. Steel-framed or braced so they don’t sag, hung on heavy hinges, with a latch you can work one-handed.

Walk · Double drive · Anti-sag

Fence & gate repair

Posts that heaved or rotted at the ground, panels down after a storm, a gate that drags or won’t latch. We reset or replace the posts, match the boards or panels as closely as we can, and tell you plainly when a run is past fixing.

Leaning posts · Storm damage · Sagging gates

How it works

From the first call to the last post cap.

Call or text

Tell us your town and what the fence needs to do. A photo of the yard helps.

Free measure

We walk the line with you, mark gates and corners, and leave a written price. You decide.

Permit & JULIE

We file the village permit, order materials and call JULIE so the utility lines are marked before we dig.

Install & clean up

Posts, panels and gates go in, the extra dirt goes out, and we test every gate with you before we leave.

Sample reviews for this demo · a live site shows the business’s real Google reviews

“They handled the permit with the village and had the utility flags in the yard before the crew showed up. The fence went in over two days and the top line is dead straight.”

Sample review · not a real customer

“We needed a pool fence that would pass inspection. They knew the gate rules before we asked, and it passed the first time.”

Sample review · not a real customer

“Our gate had dragged on the ground for years. They reset the post and rehung it, and told us the rest of the fence had plenty of life left.”

Questions

What people ask us most.

Do I need a permit for a fence?
Almost always. Most Lake County villages require a fence permit, usually with a copy of your plat of survey marked to show where the fence will go. Height limits, front-yard rules and fees differ from one village to the next, and many subdivisions have HOA rules on top. We file the permit as part of the job; if you’re in unincorporated Lake County, we check the county’s rules instead.
What is JULIE, and do you call before digging?
JULIE is Illinois’ free one-call system for marking buried utility lines, reached at 811 or (800) 892-0123. State law requires a locate request at least two business days before digging, not counting the day you call. We file one for every install and wait for the marks. Utilities only mark their own lines, so tell us about private ones: sprinkler pipes, buried dog fence wire, or a line out to a garage or lamp post.
How do you know where my property line is?
We set the fence from your plat of survey and any survey stakes on the lot, and many owners keep it a few inches inside the line. A fence company can’t settle a boundary, though. If the line is unclear or a neighbor disagrees, have a licensed surveyor stake it first. It costs less than moving a fence.
What does a pool fence need?
Most villages base their pool barrier rules on the International Residential Code: at least 48 inches high, with gates that swing outward away from the pool and close and latch on their own. If the latch release sits lower than 54 inches, it goes on the pool side near the top of the gate. Your village has the final word and inspects it, so we read its code before we quote.
When should I book?
Spring and early summer dates go first. A free measure in the fall or winter gets your permit and materials lined up, so you’re near the front of the spring schedule instead of waiting into July.
