Most of a paint jobis the prep.We don’t skip it.
House painting for Lake County homes: exterior repaints, interior rooms, kitchen cabinets, trim and doors, deck staining and drywall repair, plus repaints for offices and storefronts. We scrape, sand, caulk and prime before any color goes on, and you get all of it in writing first.
Paint fails where the prep was rushed: peeling over bare wood, cracked caulk, flashing on a patch. We spend the time there, then put on the coats the label calls for.
Exterior repaints
Siding, trim, soffits, fascia, porches and garage doors. We wash, scrape loose paint, sand the edges smooth, spot-prime bare wood, replace failed caulk, then apply two finish coats. Bushes get tied back and covered, and windows get masked.
Wood · Fiber cement · Aluminum · Stucco
Interior rooms
Walls, ceilings and closets, one room or the whole house. Nail holes and dings filled, edges cut by hand, and furniture moved back where it was.
Walls · Ceilings · Stairwells
Cabinet refinishing
Dated oak or worn white cabinets, new color without new cabinets. Doors and drawer fronts are degreased, sanded, primed and sprayed in our shop; the boxes are done in place.
Kitchens · Baths · Built-ins
Trim & doors
Baseboards, casings, crown, stair rails and doors, in a durable enamel that wipes clean. A sharp line between trim and wall is most of what makes a room look finished.
Baseboard · Casing · Doors
Deck & fence staining
Washed and brightened, loose stain and graying taken off, then a penetrating or solid stain that fits the wood you have. Best done once the wood is dry and nights stay mild.
Wash · Strip · Stain · Seal
Drywall patch & repair
Doorknob holes, popped nails, cracked corners and old anchor holes. Patched, textured to match, primed so it doesn’t flash, then painted with the rest of the room.
Patch · Texture · Prime
Commercial repaints
Offices, storefronts, common hallways and tenant turnovers. We work evenings and weekends so your doors stay open, and leave the space ready for business the next morning.

Sample reviews for this demo · a live site shows the business’s real Google reviews
“They spent two full days scraping and priming before any color went on. The last crew skipped that, and you could see it in a year.”
“Our oak cabinets went white without replacing a thing. The doors came back from their shop smooth, no brush marks anywhere.”
“Furniture covered, floors taped off, and they cleaned up every night so we could still use the living room. The color samples saved us from a bad choice.”
Questions
What people ask us most.
Are estimates really free?
Yes. We walk the job with you and send a written estimate that lists the prep, the product, the number of coats and what is and isn’t included. The price doesn’t change unless you approve a change.
When is exterior painting season here?
Most exterior paints need air and surface temperatures of at least about 50°F while they cure, and some are rated lower; the label on the can is the rule. In Lake County that usually means late spring through early fall. We check the forecast before every exterior day and paint interiors all year.
Do we have to move out while you paint inside?
No. We move furniture to the middle of the room and cover it, cover the floors, and clean up at the end of each day. For cabinets, the doors and drawer fronts come to our shop to be sprayed and the boxes are painted in place, so the kitchen is out of use for a few days, not weeks.
My house was built before 1978. Does that matter?
It can. Paint from before 1978 may contain lead, so the EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) rule covers paid work that disturbs it: more than 6 square feet per room inside, or more than 20 square feet outside, and window replacement always counts. That work must be done by an EPA-certified firm with a certified renovator, you get EPA’s Renovate Right pamphlet before work starts, the work area is contained, and open-flame burning and power sanding without a HEPA vacuum attachment are not allowed. Ask any painter you hire for their EPA firm certificate.
Can you help us pick colors?
Yes, at no charge with the estimate. We bring a fan deck, narrow it to a few choices that suit your floors, roof or brick, and paint sample patches on your wall so you can see them in morning and evening light before you decide.
