Accessibility Statement
Last updated: July 31, 2026
We build websites for people who need to find help, get a quote, or reach a business — and that has to work for everybody. This page explains what we do to keep our site accessible and how to tell us when we have missed something.
01Our commitment
Salty Web Co aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA on this website, and we build client websites with the same standard in mind. Accessibility is not a feature we bolt on at the end — it is part of how the site gets built.
02What we have done on this site
- Text and background colors are checked for sufficient contrast, including our gold on black
- Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone
- The mobile menu traps focus while open and closes with the Esc key
- Images carry meaningful alternative text, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers
- Headings follow a logical order so screen reader users can navigate by structure
- Form fields have properly associated labels
- The animated ember background is turned off automatically for visitors who have "reduce motion" enabled on their device, and it is decorative only — no information is conveyed by it
- The layout reflows for small screens and remains usable when text is enlarged
03Known limitations
We are honest about where we are. A few things we are still working on:
- Some third-party services we link to, such as a client's own site or an external tool, are outside our control and may not meet the same standard
- We check our work against current versions of major browsers, but we have not yet completed formal testing with every assistive technology, so some older browser and screen reader combinations may behave differently
04Tell us about a barrier
If you run into something on this website you cannot use, we want to hear about it — it is the fastest way for us to fix it. Please email us and tell us what page you were on and what happened. We aim to respond within one business day.

If you need information from this website in a different format, tell us and we will get it to you another way.
05Ongoing work
We review this site as we make changes to it and update this statement when something material changes. Accessibility is never "done," and feedback from real visitors is the most useful thing we get.
