What’s included

The boring parts of a website, handled.

A website isn’t finished at launch. Something has to keep it online, patched and current. On Standing Watch, that’s us.

Fast, secure hosting with SSL

Your site served over HTTPS from a fast hosting network, with the padlock browsers look for. No server for you to rent or update.

Daily backups

A copy every day, so a bad change or a bad day can be undone.

Security updates

We keep what runs your site patched, so it stays safe for you and the people who visit it.

Uptime monitoring 24/7

If your site goes down, the alert comes to us, not to a customer trying to call you.

Content edits done for you

A couple of changes a month: new hours, a new photo, a price, a line of text. Email or text us and we make it.

Cancel anytime

Month to month. If you leave, your site and data stay yours, and you get your website files.

Two plans

Keep it running, or get it found too.

Both are month to month. No contract, cancel anytime, and your site and data stay yours either way.

Source: GoDaddy, “Website maintenance cost” (2026), which puts small to medium business sites at $50 to $500 a month and online stores at $300 to $1,000. What a plan covers varies, so compare what’s included, not just the price. For what a whole website costs, see our website cost guide.

Who it’s for

Built by us, or by someone else.

A site we build

Add Standing Watch to any build and it runs from launch day. Nothing to move, nothing to set up.

A site someone else built

Send us the address. We’ll tell you whether we can host and care for it as it is, or whether moving it over with Search & Rescue makes more sense.

A web person who stopped answering

It happens. As long as you can get to your domain, we can usually get your site back under control.

You’d rather not think about it

That’s the job. You run your business; we keep the site up and current.

Straight answers

Before you call, the straight answers.

How much does website maintenance cost?
GoDaddy puts small business sites at about $50 to $500 a month, depending on what the plan covers. Standing Watch is $49 a month for hosting, SSL, daily backups, security updates, uptime monitoring and a couple of edits a month. Running Calls is $149 and adds the local SEO work.
What’s the difference between hosting and maintenance?
Hosting is where your site lives and gets served from. Maintenance is keeping it working: backups, security updates, monitoring and changes. Standing Watch covers both.
How many edits are included?
A couple of changes a month: new hours, a photo, a price, a line of text. Bigger jobs, like a new page, are quoted first, or included on Running Calls, which adds a new seasonal service page each quarter.
Is there a contract?
No. Every plan is month to month. Cancel anytime, and your site and data stay yours either way.
What happens to my site if I cancel?
It’s yours. You keep your domain, your website and your data, and we hand over your website files cleanly so you or your next host can run it.
Can you host a website you didn’t build?
Often, yes. Send us the address and we’ll tell you whether we can care for it as it is or whether rebuilding it makes more sense, before you pay anything.
Do I need a care plan to run ads with you?
Yes. Box Alarm, our ads management, needs a Salty-built site or Standing Watch, so the landing page and tracking are ours to run.
