Who we build for

Not a contractor? We build for you too.

Our pages talk a lot about trades because that is most of our work. But a shop, a salon or a restaurant needs the same things from a site: fast on a phone, the basics up front, and a Google listing that points somewhere real.

  • Boutiques & shops

Hours, directions and photos of what’s on the shelves, so someone nearby walks in instead of driving past.

  • Salons & barbers

Your services, your prices and your best work, with one tap to call or text for an appointment.

  • Restaurants, cafes & food trucks

The menu and hours up front, fast on a phone, with directions one tap away.

  • Auto repair & detailing

What you fix, what you clean, before-and-after photos and a number they can tap.

  • Cleaning services

What a clean includes and the towns you cover, with a short form that lands in your inbox.

  • Fitness studios & trainers

Classes, coaches and what a first visit looks like, so a newcomer knows what to expect.

  • Pet groomers

Services, prices and before-and-after photos, with tap-to-text for owners who would rather send a message.

  • Photographers

A gallery that loads fast on a phone and puts your best work first.

  • Professional & local services

Accountants, insurance agents, tutors and repair shops: what you do and how to reach you, in plain words.

  • Makers & product sellers

Selling what you make? Task Force builds a real store with a cart that works on a phone. Your products on Google →

The problem

Good businesses, hard to find online.

Word of mouth keeps the regulars coming. These four things decide whether a stranger ever finds you.

A Facebook page isn’t a website

Keep the page; your regulars like it there. But you don’t own it: Meta’s own terms let it suspend or disable accounts at its discretion. And your hours, prices and services slide down the feed with every new post.

Facebook page vs. a website →

Do-it-yourself builders eat your evenings

Wix, Squarespace and the new AI builders can work if you have the time and the eye for it. If you’d rather be running the business, the site goes up half-finished and stays that way.

Customers search on their phone, then pick from the map

When someone nearby needs a haircut, lunch or an oil change, they ask their phone and choose from the map. Google says it ranks those local results on relevance, distance and prominence. A free Google Business Profile puts you on that map, and a website backs it up.

English and Spanish, included

Round Lake Beach and Round Lake Heights have large Spanish-speaking customer bases, and almost nobody else in the county is serving them online. Every site we build comes in both languages, on one toggle, at no extra charge.

Proof

Real work, real reviews.

Straight answer: most of our work so far is for the trades. The live site we point to is Creative Concrete Company in Palatine, a real client. A shop or a salon has the same problem that site solves: a stranger deciding from a phone whether to call. Judge us on that, on our Google reviews, and on the mockup we’ll build for you at no cost.

What clients said after launch

“They did an amazing job with my website… I’ve actually seen an increase in leads and new business since working with them, which is exactly what you want from a website.”

Midlife On Markdown — Google review

“I had a website created for me from another company that was no where near as good as the site Salty Web Co made. I cancelled my plan with that company and switched. …his price was really affordable and worth every dollar!”

Sarah S. — Google review

“I needed help with a website and it couldn’t have been any easier!”

What you get

What you get, and what it costs.

Every project starts with a free mockup, and every build splits 50/50 — half down to start, half to launch. Nothing hourly, nothing hidden.

Every build ships with click-to-call, tap-to-text, a lead form that never loses a lead, spam protection, English and Spanish, and call tracking events. Standard on every tier — not upsells.

Straight answers

Before you call, the straight answers.

We're not a contractor. Do you build for us?
Yes. Our pages talk a lot about trades because that is most of our work, but a shop, a salon, a restaurant or an auto shop needs the same things from a site: fast on a phone, hours and services up front, and a Google listing that points to a real site. The build, the prices and the free mockup are the same.
How much does a small business website cost?
Fixed prices, agreed before any work. The Attack Line is $1,000 for a custom one-page site plus your privacy and terms pages. Working Fire is $2,500 for up to 5 pages. Task Force is $3,500 for an online store. Every build splits 50/50: half to start, half at launch. Monthly care is optional: Standing Watch is $49 a month, and Running Calls is $149 a month.
We already have a Facebook page. Do we still need a website?
Keep the page; your regulars like it there. But you don't own it, new customers search Google, and your hours and services get buried in the feed. The cheapest fix is a free Google Business Profile plus a one-page site your Facebook links to. The long answer is in our guide: Do I need a website if I have a Facebook page?
How fast can it be live?
We respond within one business day, and your free mockup is ready within 3 days. The Attack Line is live in about a week, Working Fire in about two, and Task Force in about three. Need it sooner? A one-page site can go up in 24–72 hours with a rush launch, for an extra fee.
Can we sell our products on the site?
Yes. Task Force, $3,500, is a real store: product pages, options and a cart that works on a phone, plus Google Merchant Center set up so your products show up in Google Shopping. It goes live in about three weeks. More in our guide: getting your products onto Google with Merchant Center.
Do we own the website?
Yes, once your build is paid in full. Your domain, your site, your content: all yours. Our Standing Watch care plan is optional, and if you ever leave, we hand everything over cleanly.
